5. What did they want to grow?
They wanted to grow crops and vegetables. The food items found on Mars were not suitable for their health. Harry wanted to eat only that food which they had brought from the Earth. Also, they had to stay on Mars for some uncertain period of time. Therefore, it was necessary for them to grow crops and vegetables to keep themselves alive there.

The condition of their house was very bad. The wind had done something to it. The air had burned it. There was fog at night. All the boards were in bad shape. The colour of their house began to fade quickly. The paint on its walls began to peel off. It did not look like an Earthman’s house any more.

7. What was the advice Harry gave to the people?
Harry advised the people to build a new rocket to go back to the Earth. He knew that they would change negatively if they stayed on the Mars. He was a very sensible and conscious fellow. But, sadly, his advice fell on deaf ears. Nobody took him seriously. They made fun of him.

8. How dangerous can a Martian virus be?
A Martian virus is very deadly and dangerous. It can cause a lot of damage. It can change the people negatively. It is injurious to human existence on the Mars. It can dissolve human intellect and burn away their past. It can also poison food items.
