World Economic Forum

The World Economic Forum (WEF) is an independent and non-profit organization. Its headquarter is located in Geneva, Switzerland. The Forum engages the leading political, business and other leaders of the world to shape economic agendas. The mission of the World Economic Forum is cited as,

“The World Economic Forum, committed to improving the state of the world, is the International Organization for Public-Private Cooperation”.

The World Economic Forum is best known for its annual meeting in Davos, one of Switzerland’s biggest ski resorts. Professor Klaus Schwab originally founded European Management Forum in 1971. The forum successfully broadened its vision and became World Economic Forum in 1987.

The 2019’s meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) was held from 22 to 25 January 2019 in Davos, Geneva, Switzerland. The 2019 event focused on the theme, “Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution”. The 2020th meeting of the World Economic Forum is scheduled from 21 to 24 January 2020.
