What is the difference between Main Memory and Secondary Memory?
Main Memory
It is the computer’s internal memory. It is an extension of the CPU. Its function is controlled by the Control Unit (CU) that sends Read and Write signal for the appropriate memory location.
Secondary Memory
It is also called the backing storage because it is used to supplement the capacity of main memory.
