(a) What is the function of Control Unit in CPU?
(b) Briefly describe a motherboard.
(c) Draw the Block diagram of a Computer system with the sub-units of CPU.

(a) The control unit (CU) is a component of a computer’s central processing unit (CPU) that directs operation of the processor. It tells the computer’s memory, arithmetic/logic unit and input and output devices how to respond to a program’s instructions. A CU component is considered the processor brain because it issues orders to just about everything and ensures correct instruction execution.

(b) Motherboard
The motherboard is a printed circuit board that is the foundation of a computer, located at the bottom of the computer case. It allocates power to the CPU, RAM, and all other computer hardware components. Most importantly, the motherboard allows hardware components to communicate with one another.
