GAT Analogies

GAT Analogies (NTS Test)

What are Analogies?

In Analogy Questions, candidates are required to recognize the same relation between the pair of words (in given options) to the given pair of words (in capital letters). For Example,

1. CONSENSUS : AGREEMENT
(A) conundrum : obvious
(B) ameliorate : improve
(C) education : improvement
(D) affect : effect

Consensus means agreement. So the relation between them is “same meaning (synonym)”. Similarly, the relation between ameliorate and improve is also “same meaning (synonym)”. Since, ameliorate means improve. Hence, (B) is an analogy to given pair of words (in capital letters).
