Rohtas Fort Jhelum
Rohtas Fort (Qila Rohtas) is located 3km aside of Grand Trunk Road (GT Road) in Jhelum district of Punjab, Pakistan. Jhelum lies in upper Punjab and enjoys excellent location of 170km away from Lahore, the capital of Pakistan and 110km away from Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan. Besides, Jhelum is road to Kashmir. Mirpur, the main city of Azad Kashmir is just 100km away from Jhelum.
Rohtas Fort was built by Great Muslim Emperor Sher Shah Suri. The fort was built against Gakkhar's aggression and was very successful.
