The Island
Island is a piece of land surrounded by the water. Islands are ranged from a few meters square in area up to the millions of kilometers square.
Greenland is the world’s largest island with an area of more than 2.16 million km². And, Java is the most populous island on the Earth. Australia is also an island with an area of 7.69 million km² but is considered a continent. And, Australia is the smallest of the seven continents in the world.
