- 1885 - The Indian National Congress was formed
- 16 October 1905 - The partition of Bengal was occurred
- 01 October 1906 - Simla Deputation met Viceroy, Lord Minto at Simla
- December 1906 - The All India Muslim League was formed
- 1909 - Minto-Morley Reforms (Indian Councils Act) was enacted into law
01 January 1911 - The representatives of Hindus and Muslims met in Lucknow to discuss their communities’ relations
- 12 December 1911 - The partition of Bengal was annulled
- December 1913 - Quaid-e-Azam joined All India Muslim League
December 1915 - The annual sessions of Congress and Muslim League were held at Bombay
- December 1916 - The Congress and Muslim League, in a joint session, approved Lucknow Pact
10 December 1917 - The Government appointed a committee “to investigate revolutionary crime in the country, and to suggest legislative measures fir its eradication”
- 21 March 1919 - Rowlatt Act came into operation

- 05 July 1919 – All India Khilafat Committee was formed
- 17 October 1919 – The first Khilafat Day was observed
23 December 1919 - Montagu-Chelmsford Reforms (Government of India Act) received the royal assent
- 03 March1924 – In Turkey, the Khilafat was abolished
