The Karakoram range extends three Asian countries: China, India and Pakistan and reaches Afghanistan through Pakistan. The Karakoram Range is the most heavily glaciated part of the world outside the polar regions. It also includes the Siachen Glacier, the second longest glacier in the world outside the polar regions. The total length of Karakoram range is 500 km.
K2 is the highest mountain of the Karakoram range. The height of K2 is 8,611 metre, and it is located along the border of China and Pakistan.
NOTE: The 77-kilometre Fedchenko Glacier in Tajikistan is the longest glacier in the world outside of the polar regions. It is located in the Yazgulem Range, Pamir Mountains.
