Karakoram Range

The Karakoram range extends three Asian countries: China, India, and Pakistan and reaches Afghanistan through Pakistan. The Karakoram Range is the most heavily glaciated part of the world outside the polar regions. It also includes the Siachen Glacier, the second longest glacier in the world outside the polar regions. The total length of Karakoram range is 500 km, and it is the the second highest mountain range on the Earth.

K2 is the highest mountain of the Karakoram range. The height of K2 is 8,611 meter, and it is located along the border of China and Pakistan.

NOTE: The 77-kilometer Fedchenko Glacier in Tajikistan is the longest glacier in the world outside of the polar regions. It is located in the Yazgulem Range, Pamir Mountains.
