FIFA World Cup
The Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) or International Federation of Association Football is the governing body, and is responsible for the organization of football’s major international tournaments including the Men’s World Cup which commenced in 1930 and the Women’s World Cup which commenced in 1991. The two world cups are held every four years except in 1942 and 1946 when men’s world cup was not held because of the Second World War.

The FIFA Ballon d’Or award was an annual association football award presented to the world’s best men’s player from 2010 to 2015. The final 2015th FIFA Ballon d’Or was presented to Lionel Messi of Argentina . The Best FIFA Football Awards 2020 (Men) was won by Robert Lewandowski of Poland, and the Best FIFA Football Awards 2019 (Women) was won by Lucy Bronze of the United Kingdom.
