The Alps (or Alps mountain range) is the mountain range system in the European countries. The total length of the Alps is 1,200 kilometers, and it extends to eight Alpine countries: Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Slovenia, and Switzerland.

Mont Blanc is the highest mountain of the Alps, and it is located along the border of France and Italy. Mont Blanc is also the second highest mountain in Europe, and the highest mountain in Europe is Caucasus Mountains that belong to a system that extends 1,100 km from southeastern Europe into Asia.
