Alfred Nobel

Alfred Nobel was a Swedish scientist who is famous for his contributions in the foundations of Nobel Prizes which have been awarded annually since 1901.

Alfred Nobel was born on October 21, 1833 in Stockholm, Sweden and died on December 10, 1896 in Sanremo, Italy.

In addition to Nobel Prizes, he is known as the inventor of dynamite and holder of 355 patents. He was able to speak five languages fluently at the age of 17. In his will he left 31 million to fund the Nobel Prizes.
