Asset

Any economic resource that can produce economic value to the holder is called an asset. For example, building, machinery, cash etc.

Assets can be divided as:

1. Tangible Assets
Physical assets are called tangible assets. For example, plant, machinery, raw material, cash etc.

2. Intangible Assets
Non-physical assets that can give the owner some advantage in the market are called intangible assets. For example, goodwill, copyrights, patents, trademarks etc.
